Big Spring Week 14..................

Cody's district (his companion is the one on the right with the blue tie).

It snowed a couple weeks ago and is now 90 degrees????????

Hey Mom!!

Yes I did get those packages, thank you so much. That was very thoughtful of you to send one to Elder Cutler as well, he says thank you a million (:

This week we have really started to realize all the blessings the Lord is giving us. We had a very effective week this week. We had done a lot of morning finding the previous weeks, so this week we decided to really focus on our potential investigators and try and teach them. We did just that, and were able to get 7 new investigators this week. We now have a very deep teaching pool, and I have discovered that missionary work is so much more enjoyable when you actually have people to prepare the lessons for. Our two baptismal dates, Theresa and Kyra, have both been a huge blessing. Kyra is 12 years old, and her mom really wanted her to have good influences in her life, so for the past two weeks Kyra has been going to church and young womens. The ward is doing a great job of fellowshipping her! Theresa (Kyra's mother) is a recovering drug addict. Her desire to change is so true and sincere, I felt so lucky to have the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with her. This really is a gospel of change, and it is so great to see how the Atonement has helped me change and then share that with others. We will be working with those two very hard this week to keep them progressing and to prepare them to pass the baptismal interview questions.

We have a lot of return appointments this week with the people in our teaching pool, so we will be trying to make a lot of commitments with them. We need some special help with Alena, as we will be committing her to live the Law of Chastity. She lives with her boyfriend who actually is a member. I think they both know that it is wrong, so hopefully they just need a little bit of encouragement from us and more importantly the Holy Ghost to start living righteously.

Now that we are out of our slump, I am so excited to get to work with these amazing people! They have blessed my life so much already, watching them try to develop their own testimony has been strengthening my own.

We have also been able to do a lot of service this past week. All sorts of stuff, from mixing concrete to digging ditches, we had a good week of service. Not only does it help the person we are serving but it also allows us to show to the community that we aren't just weird guys who like to knock on doors.

I cant wait to get those letters!! I love you all so much. Our car will be in the shop all week so its a bike week...haha its been like almost 90 degrees this week. Wish me luck (;

I love you mom!!
Love, your son
